Senior Research Executive
About the opportunity
This role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team that works across emerging and future markets including the environment, finance, business and enterprise and regulation. The teams work on projects such as our net zero targets, business innovation, entrepreneurship, competition and government policy evaluation. These projects will benefit the public, not only in the now but also the future, helping inform and shape progress and outcomes.
As a Senior Research Executive, you’ll work across a number of projects to ensure they’re delivered on time, to specification and to budget. You’ll undertake a range of research tasks efficiently and to a high standard, whilst coordinating and supporting more junior team members, all while developing your skills as a researcher, working with and learning from your colleagues in order to grow your expertise and career.
Responsibilities
Manage multiple projects and tasks through effective planning and prioritisation.
Supervise and delegate to Research Executives and Assistants.
Design high quality survey questionnaires and qualitative topic guides.
Proactively manage and monitor projects in field.
Conduct qualitative interviews, actively listening and probing appropriately.
Ensure accuracy in survey questionnaire scripts and data outputs.
Produce insightful analysis and reporting.
Work in partnership with other departments.
About you
This role is for someone who enjoys the pace of agency life, working on multiple projects with colleagues who are supportive and collaborative.
You'll likely have experience in a similar role and be able to step into this position to build your skill further or be ready to step up to this responsibility and start working with and learning from our team straight away.
You’ll already be comfortable with the research process and have experience producing clear, insightful analysis and reports. Because of the types of projects you’ll work on, it’s helpful if you can show confidence in survey design and management, along with some experience running qualitative research.
You’ll communicate clearly in writing and in person and you’ll be happy working independently when needed while also working well with colleagues, contributing positively to project teams and helping create a supportive working environment that gets the best out of everyone.
This is an opportunity to join a business that values input from all its staff and you’ll be expected to apply your skills and knowledge and build on the success of IFF.
